We are currently seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Automation & Robotics Manager to join a leading Greek industrial manufacturing company with a strong global presence. With operations in over 64 countries and subsidiaries in Brazil, Romania, and Italy, the organization has built a reputation for delivering turnkey solutions across industries such as Heavy Clay, Robotics, Power & Automation, Solid Waste Management, Shipping, and Heavy Industry.

As part of this dynamic expansion, they are looking to strengthen their engineering leadership team with a manager who brings both hands-on technical depth and strategic vision in automation and robotics.

 

What you’ll do

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of automated and robotic systems for industrial applications.

  • Define PLC hardware lists, select motors, sensors, safety components, and automation hardware.

  • Develop and program PLC systems, robotic units, and servo-controlled systems.

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and ensure effective resource planning and team coordination.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Production, Engineering, IT) to identify and deliver automation improvements.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Coach, evaluate, and develop engineering team members, fostering a culture of growth and innovation.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in automation and robotics, and bring them into practice.

  • Represent the company in international project deployments, with willingness to travel abroad.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, or related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automation, robotics, or industrial systems engineering.

  • Strong hands-on expertise in PLC programming, SCADA, motion control systems, and industrial robotics.

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex automation setups and optimize performance.

  • Excellent leadership and project management capabilities.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.

  • Analytical mindset and structured problem-solving approach.

  • Solid understanding of commercial and technical project drivers.

  • Availability for international travel as part of global project execution.
