Senior Automation Engineer
Automation EngineerWe are currently seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join a long-established Greek manufacturing company with international reach. With operations in over 50 countries and subsidiaries in Brazil, Romania, and Italy, the company delivers turnkey industrial solutions across multiple sectors, including heavy clay production, solid waste management, automation, heavy industry, and shipping.
With over four decades of expertise, the organization is known for combining engineering precision, innovation, and technical depth to solve complex challenges globally. As part of its growing Power & Automation Engineering Team, you’ll work on advanced automation systems for major industrial installations worldwide.
What you’ll do

Select and integrate automation and low voltage equipment for industrial applications.

Provide technical specifications and guidance to the Electrical Design Department.

Develop and configure PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, using company-standard software modules and project templates.

Set up and commission inverters and drive systems, including parameterization and performance tuning.

Prepare comprehensive operations manuals, following company standards and documentation frameworks.

Lead on-site commissioning activities, including system checks, IO testing, device calibration, full-cycle testing, and customer training.

Serve as a technical point of contact during the after-sales support phase.
What we’re looking for
-
A University degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

5+ years of experience in a similar role within an industrial or automation-focused environment.

Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal, with extensive experience in delivering complete project solutions.

Familiarity with Siemens Classic Simatic Manager and Allen Bradley automation platforms.

Experience in electrical design using EPLAN.

Programming knowledge in VBScript, C, and SQL; additional languages like JavaScript, C#, Python are a plus.

Solid understanding of motion control systems, including servo and DC motors.

Advanced MS Office skills, especially in Excel.

Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.

Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and manage technical teams.
