Senior .NET Developer

On behalf of our client, a national leader in the banking industry, you will join one of the largest digital transformation initiatives in Greece: transitioning from a legacy core banking system to a unified technological platform based on Appian BPM. This 4-year roadmap includes major re-platforming projects (consumer, mortgage, workflows) with a significant impact across the organization. The loans segment has already been completed, and the next step is extending the platform to all banking services, directly affecting the experience of millions of customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure effective operation of Lending Originations Workflows, both in-house and from external providers, addressing any issues.

• Collaborate with Business Analysis teams on requirement gathering and project analysis.

• Design, develop, and maintain IT applications and systems, especially Business Process Management Systems (BPMS) & Low-code platforms.

• Participate in key IT projects driving digital transformation.

• Design and implement new functionality, ensuring smooth integration with existing applications.

• Define architecture, lead implementation, and maintain technical documentation (architecture, topology, APIs).

• Conduct code reviews to enforce coding standards, security standards, and best practices.

• Mentor team members and promote adoption of best practices.

• Support production systems and collaborate with internal units and external partners.

• Supervise internal teams and, depending on experience, external project teams (4+ members).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related fields; degrees in Economics/Business with IT specialization also accepted.

• Minimum 7 years of development experience and at least 3 years as a senior/full-stack developer.

• Strong knowledge of common programming languages (C#, Java, JScript).

• Solid database design, OOP, web development, and systems design skills (Microservices, RESTful APIs, Cloud-native, SOA).

• Experience with Workflow Systems or BPMS (e.g., Appian, Camunda, jBPM, Pegasystems, IBM ODM).

Nice to Have

• Exposure with Appian BPM.

• Experience in agile development and DevOps practices.

• Experience in banking workflow systems, particularly loan and credit card origination lifecycle.
