On behalf of our client, a leading retailer in Greece, specializing in products and services for expectant mothers, infants, and young children. With a strong presence in the market, we are looking for a Senior IT Specialist to join their team and support their IT infrastructure and software applications.
A day in the life of a Senior IT Specialist
- Software Management: Oversee the company's software applications, including ERP systems (D365FO), Epsilon Pylon Commercial, and Retail Software. Ensure their efficient operation, timely updates, and troubleshooting of any issues.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support to users, addressing complex software-related problems and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- System Installation & Maintenance: Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications. Ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Project Participation: Collaborate in projects aimed at developing and improving IT infrastructure and software applications to meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for software configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless integration and functionality of software applications across the organization.
What you will need:
- Educational Background: Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of relevant work experience in IT application support or software management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems. Knowledge of databases (SQL) and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) is advantageous.
- Web Development: Experience in web application development and management (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking principles (LAN, WAN, VPN) and certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are preferred.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Communication: Good command of English (both written and spoken). Ability to communicate effectively with team members and end-users.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
