On behalf of our client, a leading organization within the retail sector, we are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with proven expertise in Microsoft Azure technologies—including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric. This role is an excellent opportunity for a passionate data professional to contribute to high-impact, enterprise-scale data solutions.
Day to Day
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
- Implement scalable ETL/ELT solutions to ingest and transform data from diverse sources
- Collaborate with data analysts, front-end developers, and key business stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements
- Utilize Microsoft Fabric for unified data management and analytics
- Develop efficient and reliable data processing code using SQL and PySpark
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and monitoring best practices
Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a data engineering environment
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric
- Solid background in SQL, SSIS, and PySparkFamiliarity with data lake and data warehouse architectures (e.g., ADLS, Lakehouse)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in collaborative, cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
Good to have:
- Azure Data Engineer Associate or other relevant Azure certifications
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
- Familiarity with Azure monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
- Exposure to Power BI for data visualization and reporting
