IT Operations Specialist

Our client is a national courier and parcel delivery company running sorting hubs and branches across Greece.

In their business, every system outage means parcels that don't move. They are strengthening their operations team with an IT Operations Specialist who keeps a close eye on systems and acts fast when something goes wrong.

The Role

You will monitor servers, networks, applications and scheduled jobs, respond to alerts and coordinate fixes with internal teams and vendors. You will also manage incidents, run routine maintenance and keep runbooks and operational documentation up to date.

Within your first six months you will know the critical systems behind daily operations, handle incidents on your own and help cut recurring issues through better monitoring and root-cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor servers, networks, applications and scheduled jobs around the clock
• Respond to alerts and manage incidents through to resolution
• Coordinate fixes with internal teams and external vendors
• Run routine maintenance following change management processes
• Keep runbooks and operational documentation up to date
• Reduce recurring issues through better monitoring and root-cause analysis

What You'll Bring

• 2+ years of experience in IT operations, NOC, system administration or a similar role
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, Nagios or Datadog
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux servers, networks and databases
• Experience following incident and change management processes
• A sense of urgency, attention to detail and clear communication under pressure

Nice to Have

• ITIL Foundation certification
• Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash or Python)
• Experience in logistics, retail or other 24/7 operations

What's in It for You

€1,600 – €2,100 Gross / Month, depending on experience, plus shift allowance. On-site at the Elefsina hub, on a rotating schedule that includes some weekends.
