Full-Stack Python Developer

Our client, a SAP/SaaS solutions provider serving B2B customers, is seeking a Full-Stack Python Developer to join its team based in Athens.

The Role
We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer with a strong backend foundation in Python to design and maintain robust, scalable services. You will take ownership of API design, database architecture, and backend infrastructure, while also contributing to frontend work as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Python, PHP, and RESTful APIs
• Design and optimize data models using PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Implement and manage background processing using Redis and RQ
• Manage object storage with MinIO
• Handle authentication and authorization using Auth.js and JWT
• Maintain and improve Docker based deployment pipelines (Docker, docker-compose, Apache reverse proxy, GitHub Actions)
• Write and maintain automated tests using pytest
• Contribute to frontend development using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and JavaScript when required
• Read and understand unfamiliar parts of the codebase, respecting existing design decisions before introducing changes
• Participate in a PR based workflow with code reviews

What You'll Bring

• Solid backend experience with Python
• Strong understanding of async patterns, database design, and HTTP semantics
• Proficiency with Git and experience working in a PR based development workflow
• Ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases and understand the reasoning behind existing implementations before making changes
• Comfortable working in English for all technical communication, including code, tests, documentation, commits, and code reviews
• Legal right to work and residency in Greece

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of frontend technologies such as TypeScript, React, or Next.js
• Experience with myDATA API, ΑΑΔΕ integrations, or Greek tax software
• Experience with LLM API integration (Anthropic, OpenAI) and prompt engineering
• Involvement in side projects, open source contributions, or other work demonstrating craft beyond the day job
• SAP integration experience
