As part of the continued expansion of their R&D department, they are looking for an Embedded Software & Hardware Engineer to join their engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of next-generation embedded products.
The Role
You'll become part of a highly skilled R&D team responsible for developing both embedded software and hardware for PCB-based elevator control systems.
Working across the full product development lifecycle, you'll design new embedded solutions, improve existing products, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and collaborate closely with hardware and software engineers to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded software for elevator controller PCBs
- Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing Embedded C code
- Design and develop new embedded hardware solutions
- Redesign and improve existing electronic hardware platforms
- Define hardware specifications based on software requirements
- Debug hardware and software issues throughout product development
- Support continuous product improvements and long-term maintenance
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle
What You'll Bring
- BSc in Electrical & Computer Engineering or a related Engineering discipline
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in Embedded Software and Hardware Development
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C
- Solid understanding of embedded systems architecture, including CPUs, memory, and peripheral devices
- Strong experience programming and debugging microcontrollers
- Good understanding of hardware design for embedded systems
- Experience defining hardware specifications based on software requirements
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills throughout the product development lifecycle
- Good understanding of algorithms and algorithm analysis
- Very good command of the English language
- Completed military obligations (for male candidates)
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M / STM32 microcontrollers
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Go, or C#
- Experience with communication protocols including CAN Bus, RS485, RS422, SPI, and I2C
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI principles
- Previous experience within the elevator industry or understanding of elevator operating principles
